My brother is an MP over in Afghanistan. He was on post on April 21st. He decided to give us a call, just to let us know how he was doing.
Nobody was home so he got the answering machine, and hung up. Just then, they started getting shot at. Somehow, his phone re-dialed, and we got this on our answering machine. He is okay.

Don't listen to the wankers...glad your brother is OK. If it wasn't for the USA, Australians would be part of the glorious Japanese empire. We're behind you in Iraq and Afghanistan, and we were the first country to jump in with you after September 11th.
As I said, ignore the wankers who have no idea how the real world works, and that sometimes good men have to go into harms way in far away places for good reason.
dude this is disturbing. ive been talking to my brother on the phone 3 times when they've recieved rocket attacks at his base in iraq...the last time it blew our connection...i cant imagine getting an answering machine message of that and just having to stand there and listen....
