i always felt pretty before, alot of people said so until i saw images of women in magazines i felt insulted because my arms and legs are rounded and i'm flat chested. that's the first time i felt really badly for myself and the boys who i'm with um highly patronize these women who are enhanced by media.. they even keep wallpapers on their phones yknow.. they dont even pay attention to you anymore.

I think they should´ve tried to do the commercial with less attractive persons, therefore I think this is cynical

exactly, it's just like the popular people, you might think their lives are so good but those are the people who feel the most hurt and insecure inside.

wow humanity has changed. everyone looks at what you look on the outside. but no one cares about who you are on the inside. hello?? there is a thing called inner beauty!

If you have a good relationship with your mom or guardian, you should talk to them about this with the school counselor. She is suppose to be supportive of the children but she sounds like a careless dumbass. She should know how to talk to kids and apparently this one doesn't. Seriously, she needs to be reprimanded. I'm not saying fired, but she needs good talking to and perhaps more training. Don't feel bad about yourself, your counselor sounds like she has issues of her own.

I thought I was really pretty until the counsellor at my school asked me how I felt about being overweight. She gave me reason to believe that I shouldn't like how I look. I hate her so much.

everyone seems to think that only ugly girls have low self esteem, when i was in high school (i graduated in 07) the thing that i noticed is that the pretty girls are the usually the ones that are hardest on themselves behind closed doors.

I'm the same way too. I look 5 months pregnant all the time. It sucks.
