Panasonic DMC-TZ1 video test

Back

Here is some testing of video recording of Panasonic DMC-TZ1. Actually I am amazed with quality of results. This is 4 videos glued together using Kino. You can see how image stabiliser is working. It won't do miracles because it is not steadicam solution, but indeed it makes video not shaky. Because of continous autofocus enabled it sometimes got focus wrong on dirt of my windshield, so don't treat it as cameras fault.

Great video, thanks. And the camera mic really did well with the music in your car, considering it was loud enough to break the windows. ;-)

hehe I am sorry to break the news to you but music wansn't from my car speakers, it was later added by youtube :). But mic does work fine :)

I was joking about the music. I didn't know YouTube added music to videos. I actually turned it off to watch the video, but I would like to hear how the camera's mic performs, since I plan to get this camera.

I have another video on my account that shows how mic is working. I would record new video test for you, but I sold that camera few days ago :).

The program will convert the video container from QuickTime .mov to AVI, no compression will be used on video or audio at all. Your movie should now be in avi format. Open Windows movie maker, navigate to tools, options, compatibility. Tick option for ffdshow video decoder.

To get videos from the TZ models to work with Windows Movie maker do the following. Download and install a program called MP4Cam2AVI and a video codec called ffdshow.Open your movie in MP4Cam2AVI. Leave program settings as they are except under audio format change to 'source audio(no recompression). Press start, conversion process should only take a second or two.
