This is the best video editing program I've tried on Linux so far. The titles sucked so I can't include any information in my video aside from putting it in a readme. The save as function does absolutely nothing, didn't find my video in home or on my desktop where I told it to save. The play button does nothing at all so I don't know why they have one. When I managed to export my video, the sound was totally broken and sounded like someone randomly tapping the microphone.

this doesnt work very well unless u are importing from a dv camera it cant open quicktime or wmv or jpg files to edit and so i say windows or mac is better although this is good for being free

You probably need to install the software for compiling programs. In ubuntu-based distributions, a package called build-essentials should have everything you need.
