nice. this piece is not too difficult in terms of technique, but quite hard to express the feelings. You've done a great job. Have you played anything else of Almeida's arrangement?

I've monkeyed with other things and some classical/brazilian things i've learned from his arrangements, but I'd really like to do more. There's a wealth of good stuff in his books.

at first sight in overview I was scared the guitar was looking like a gun, because of that extreme wide-angle. I hope one day all guns will look and sound like this.

If you liked "Ebb Tide," check out Robert Maxwell's other hit, "Shangri-la". The chord structure is very similar.

weird thing about this arrangement is the 4/4 rhythm. it's so more effective in a 6/8. view the clip of Mina doing it. her full recording of this is breath-taking. righteous brothers is in 6/8 too.
