Millions of people in small town America rely on big businesses that build plants and create jobs. When those businesses close down or move, whole towns can be devastated.
One example is Wilmington, Ohio, which has been a main distribution hub for DHL, a global courier company.
Last week, the firm said it will lay off more than 9,000 workers, many of whom live in or around the town.
Al Jazeera's Nick Spicer went there to see how people are coping.

Im a realist. So, quit making me look like im just trying to put America down. The irony is, you need to look a bit closer. China is setting on worlds biggest bank account right now, and they have us by the balls in debt. New factions are going to open up, look for a new party to emerge. Possible civil war in the states.

Easy, at least people noticed it here, unlike in many dictatorships elsewhere, I.E. Iran, North Korea. That's the beauty of living in the Western world, if we see corruption we don't need to take radical routes to oust the politicians. Evolution, not revolution, is the key to true victory.

you are equally in trouble

No - In fact, this crisis that makes you poor will make me rich!
Money & wealth don't disappear, rather they are transferred now from the hands of the working class to those smarter people
Multiple citizenship's, (like multiple currencies) is part of the smart strategy!

makes you rich? for how long. Dont you realize Democracy will be dead soon. Your currency wont be worth shit. you will equally be in trouble, like everyone else.
Democracy fails when people realize they can vote in the politicians offering the most money from the treasury. Which is what is happening now, and the kind of ignorant mentality you seem to have. Have fun dying with America.

When the US holds over 25% of the worlds purchasing power, I think the world has things to worry about if the US ever died. No other nation, not even China, has come close. The United States is equal to about the entire continent of Europe. I don't think we're the ignorant ones, I think you are, and should research some facts before you go saying such things.

You are correct in that America has reached the non-sustainability point of Democracy!
That is why my IRAs are in foreign currency; and pension monies are in AG Futures
Wealth does not disappear - Rather it is xferred from the hands of some to the hands of others!

I have a sneaky suspicion that they might try and introduce the Amero idea in Vancouver around the the 2010 olympics. I also have a strong feeling that they are going to stage a" terrorist act" and blame it on locals/north americans , to lock down any backlash and scare the naive.
