Uneasy Gaza truce comes into effect - 19 Jun 08

A truce between Israel and Palestinian armed groups in Gaza has come into effect, with both sides voicing doubts over how long the Egyptian-brokered ceasefire will hold. The six-month truce, which includes Hamas, began at 0600 (0300GMT) on Thursday, although violence in the Gaza Strip continued until the ceasefire came into effect. The truce is supposed to put an end to Palestinian rocket attacks and Israeli raids. However just minutes before the ceasefire began, a Palestinian man was killed by Israeli fire. The killing highlights just how fragile this agreement is. But as Al Jazeera's Hannah Belcher reports people on both sides of the border are hoping the truce will last.

Just to make it clear ! At d present time there is no palestine. Indeed there r two separate entities: Fatahland and Hamastan. Two prime ministers, two different laws - in the second case the sharia, two different armies, two different peace proposal - ops sorry again - Hamas even bother mentioning this words when it comes to Jews.

Whenever, under pressure from other nations, the United Nations voted for Resolutions against Israel's egregious behavior, Washington has rushed to defend the Jewish State, and vetoed over 80 attempts by the international community to support Palestinian rights. Israel has ignored those rules set by the Geneva Convention. In this disgusting campaign to protect our "parasite," Washington has weakened the prestige of the United Nations, and shamed us before the world.

The U.N found out that Israel doesn't live up to the truce. Gaza violated the truce 1-0 Israel violated the truce now 8-10 times. But the media is concerned about Gaza and an old man being shot while working in his field and a 17 year old being shot unarmed then forced to bleed to death is just not worth reporting for them... Luckily we have Al-Jazeera so this mumble shared doesn't have to go on, its a direct to insult to our brains.

Isreal is absolutely correct in its walling off the barbarian palestinians. Suicide bombing has ceased and the palestinians are left launching primitive rockets into isreal. The thing that bugs palestinians more then any of their self imposed hardships is the inability to kill jews.

Primitive relates to the lack of complexity of the item being discussed. Example, a bow and arrow is a primitive weapon but I sure as hell would not want to be shot with one of them. No contradictions, you just did not understand. I hope this clears it up for you.

Well, that is where you are wrong. The palestinians feel no sense of forgiveness. Read the charter of hamas where they say in their own words that they will never accept any peace until isreal is destroyed. So, that leaves war. Why worry about people being killed that want war. That is what war is about, killing people.
