too bad firedog is sub-contracted, 3rd party installation and best buy uses their own installers. magnolia home theater/geek squad uses all best buy employees. cant say the same for circuit city, who prefers to fire their best employees because they are loyal and experienced.

I was ok with contracting SoundsGood... but now even that is getting contracted out for Home Theater. The PC instore and inhome as well as CarFi is still all Circuit City Employees.
And the firing thing...I'm pretty sure all those employees were invited back, though not at the original pay.They had cutback the highest payed people(i.e a computer sales person making upwards of $17 an hour because CCity hadn't been stingent with thier paycaps.Still a groovey company, aside from the outsourced HE.

would ANYONE really go back to CC after being humiliated once? going back 10 weeks later for 50% of ones original hourly rate is being humiliated a second time. and yes, firedog for PC's and roadshop is CC heads. the whole services thing (HT install, PC services) is about 5 years too late. good job copying BBY as usual. remember IQ Crew? that shit was weak.

Hey buddy, my sources are THAT I WORKED FOR CC FOR 3 YEARS. Firedog is a joke dude. Lowest bidder, 3rd party subcontractors who don't know how to hang a TV. I saw it every day. Anyways, CC is done. Piss-poor management and a stubborn refusal to adapt and innovate plus outrageous human resources blunders were the nails in their coffin. Enjoy this holiday season with CC, if they even make it until December. You'll have good company with Tweeter and CompUSA.
i work at best buy and im pretty sure even if i didn't work there i would never, ever go to firedog. or circuit city.... and just so you know, geek squad is all in one, home theater, computers, mp3, and car audio etc.

yeah, this vid is pretty old, back when this was made, Geek Squad hadn't announced convergence yet. Annnd, it's all good if you wouldn't go to Circuit City no matter what. What matters is that you're an open minded and educated consumer and an employee that knows your company well! And the quality of a Firedog OR Geek Squad team varies from store to store... so that depends on where you are! Thanks for watching and posting a thoughtful comment!
