http://code.google.com/apis/socialgraph Google engineer Brad Fitzpatrick gives an introduction to the Social Graph API. The Social Graph API makes information about the public connections between people more easily available. Developers can query this public information to offer their users dramatically streamlined "add friends" functionality and other useful features.

A need exists to enclose this type of info in a secure and controlled manner. This will become a Digital DNA of your relationships, even though we can, we probably shouldn't... Orwell's "1984" is all around us, the ability to track or locate an individual should not be abused. Google will be responsible legally should negative experiences occur...

Fantastic! If I have a malformed understanding of how my blog links and blogrolls work, my friends can stalk me everywhere I go even if I don't want them to locate me on other social networks or be friends with me there.
