Pierre Berton with his trademark bow-tie is the interviewer. A great personality in his own write. There was a time when the CBC was the intended medium. I would like to think that McLuhan was influenced by CBC content when he first wrote about the message. You don't see anything like this nowadays. Oh, and Nabokov is none too shabby either.

Could I interest you in a photograph of God?
NatureIsNotHuman (Friday 12th of December 2008 10:25:09 PM)
Yes, genius Molloyx. Send it to me in no time, please.

Which God do you prefer? And, beyond that basic choice, you know.....smiling, frowning, more than a little irritated, sheepish, with or without lightening bolt, clad in mist or sea foam, the standard number of limbs?, male, female, sexless, with or without eye liner, all powerful, all powerful only in epic circumstances, reasonably powerful in most circumstances or [ a rare choice I must admit]remote, powerless and mute. Oh yes, all these images come in poster size as well.
NatureIsNotHuman (Tuesday 23rd of December 2008 05:48:45 PM)
Eye liner not decisive plus, nor serious minus - lightening bolt; with immortality mere side-effect - would thoughtful heart be fuss? or "Love for sale", said Chameleon, making goo-goo eyes at Pygmalion.

So, then, I take it I cannot interest you in anything of the poly-theistic variety? Even at full discount in this strange, late season? I was hatched in Africa, as you might remember, where the evening drumming from the compunds were ever the most constant force of God. I must warn you here, NatureIsNotHuman, that my love cannot be deflected quite so easily. Be on your guard, as I have much more to say about your special character and its strict relation to your physical beauty.
NatureIsNotHuman (Wednesday 24th of December 2008 12:05:01 AM)
I'm all ears, for African drums as well.

You are a difficult woman, NatureIsNotHuman. Ambitious in a way that encourages a certain anxiety in those men who are not prepared to take you on. As you are, I mean. Standing there, your bright blue eyes the very last fire they will have the fading pleasure to foolishly imagine as their own.
molloyx (Monday 29th of December 2008 07:30:44 PM)
Not, of course, NatureAintHuman, that I presume to know the actual color of your eyes, or even if you are possessed of a special character or special beauty. I know you have access to a keyboard and that you are inclined towards the complex. Unlike myself, a simple tradesman from the foothills. My parents, if you were wondering, named me after an image divined from a frozen puddle. Hence my deep longing for warmth and clarity, as well as my earlier expressed interest in Mr. Nabokov. Thank you.
