It's so easy for the government to continue this war on drugs then it is for them to do something about the socio-economic problems that cause drug abuse in the first place. It's the exact same story as it was when these drugs were banned. If I was a black man who was a slave in the southern United States I'd probably want to use drugs also. If I was poor and came from a broken down part of town and didn't have a good education, I'd probably want to use drugs. But no...the goverment just says...
...let's just out right ban these things. When they could be spending that money on education or fixing up these run down places and then most of the people who use these drugs would stop. It's the same for regular middle class folks who use them, a lot of them do it because they are not happy. It's really easy to sniff some powder and take a pill and go to la la land. What's hard is facing your fears and dealing with your problems. But year after year, decade after decade all we do...
we look down on the people who use them. We arrest them. We don't really do anything to help them. We don't think about all the terrible things that happen in their lives that make them want to use these drugs. I can guarantee in a Utopian society there would be no drugs. People don't take mind altering substances when they are happy. It's just not how the world works.
We need to change the ways we think before it's too late. Or else we are doomed to repeated the mistakes of our parents.

no offence 2 all the cocain adicts but tryed a couple of time and only felt like i smoked a big fucking joint even had crack and its has the same effect as snorting coke so i dont know if it was bad coke/crack but i dont get the adictive pleasure of the drug(sorry about my english spelling )

While it IS difficult to quit a Cocaine habit, it is a walk in the park compared to opiates. Don't start a regular habit or you will be sorry. It can rapidly take control of your life and bleed your finances dry...

Why some are automatically addicted to alcohol and most of the rest not? The problem is there in fact. If really it is genetic, we will fix that in the future! The mind can be addicted to everything and create unbalance and problem's. Like to food, sex, video game...all this will create symptom's or social abnormal behavior. The expansion of the man kind consciousness won't be like it is without the use of natural drug's in is evolution on thousands of years. Don't be snob.

Drug's are good! An extreme abuse of sugar can lead in murder or lethal. alcohol too.
Common, it is a lost battle since the beginning. We need new way of thinking and transform this stupid society based on medieval idea or we will all vanish anyway! At the moment one make something illegal he crate the problem automatically and will benefit both side will benefit like parasite.
Don't be moleculist (molecule racist) they are not the problem, the problem is in our weak mind.
