Well the truth is: In 2004 GE bought Vivendi's television and movie assets, becoming the third largest media conglomerate in the world. The new company was named NBC Universal. GE is the world's sixth largest company.

I always remember that movie when they make an elephant out of a mouse like it happens currently with the conflict between Israel and his hostile neighbour states [who dont even have the courage anymore to challenge Israel in an open war and instead use some puppets]. But still this meaningless conflict is portrayed by the media as a huge threat to peace on earth while about 5 million people have been killed in the Congo during the last years without the world even recognizing it.

I remember seeing this movie when it came out and thinking, "Overblown. Exaggerated. Too outrageous."
Now, I think it it's f***g prophetic, brilliant, scary, and most of all true. Also, best script EVAH!
Paddy Chayefsky must have been a clairvoyant.
