Canada lost 45,000 Soldiers in WW2, the US lost more because they feilded more. The US lost over 400,000. The US lost more because they feilded 100x more Soldiers. But remember Canada had a population of 11 Million and 1 in 10 Citizens were in uniform.

Canada currently has 2500, soon to increase by 250 (mostly airforce). Canada has fought some of the largest battles since 2001/2002.
108 Canadians have lost their lives in Afghanistan serving their nation.

Laser range finder, bullet drop, how tall the person was in the optics, there is a number of ways to tell, Snipers need to know the distance of their target so they can adjust for gravity and enviromental conditions.
