You know Chinese people actually talk shit about their government, and nobody cares, unless they stir up a big protesting parade or something.

You are false bonyupi, China support pol pot because they want him to fight with the new vietnam republic and create diversion for vietnam. I would know i am from china. I am sad that China support Pol Pot because he was a horrible leader. I am glad the vietnam came and oust pol pot before more innocent kompuchean people die. America actually did not like any communist so america fought with lao vietnam and cambodia. But United state couldnt defeat such great communist forces.
How can you enjoy this video while knowing what this guy has done. (Or maybe Americans don't know because of their propaganda machine. Remember: The US supported Pol Pot's regime while condemning Hitler Germany...isn't that weird?). I didn't even think it was funny.

I think the point is to make fun of the ruthless dictator, to show that while he thinks his subjects love him, all they actually do is fear him. The way they are so unenthusiastic in their happy birthday song is part of the joke. In the end, he is left humiliated and alone, and that seems like it's the real point. There's nothing worse you can do to a tyrant than make fun of him. That's justice.
