Manic Depression and Alcoholism: A Personal Story

Back

On September 21, 2007, I posted a video here on youtube whilw I was drunk and going through a manic phase of the disease known as Bipolar Disorder. In February, I once again entered recovery for Alcoholism, but was still have either deep periods of depression or chaotic painful manic experiences. This video has been re-edited to show me before and after treatment. I am not trying to draw any attention to myself, but rather build awareness of both of these diseases. The good news is they are both treatable and there are lots of resources available. Here are some links to learn more. HEy man, I think this is very brave and wonderful for you to do. Don't listen to some of these idiot's. I can't believe people can be so hateful...........you're doing the right thing, and congradulation on your sobriety. Videos like this give others hope, like me. May God bless and really keep you in his protection, please pray for those of us who are still struggling with both "diseases"

good thing you have health insurance and thousands of dollars to spend on medication and treatment, for some it's not that easy and they cant afford that shit, plus if you want to live you cant be afraid to die
