One of my favorite all time tunes. You're spot on with the attribution. I like both versions, but actually like Harry's a bit more (probably based on nostalgia more than substance).
As for Mariah Carey -- Like they say, if you can't say something nice...

actully who cares about singing like he has lived every second of it? as long as it sounds good.
and mariah is the one 5 octave vocal range not harry.
