Beautiful guitar, beautiful sound and very nice playing! I'm just a bit confused, 'cause I just checked Eastman's website, and your guitar looks more like the AR605CE/Jim Fisch model, not the AR805CE/Uptown archtop model.. According to the pictures on their website, the cutaway on the AR805CE is rounded, but your guitar has a straight cutaway, exactly like the Jim Fisch AR605CE model.

Hi Ketil, it's definitely the 805CE, with a rounded (Venetian) cutaway. The 605 series has that too. The shapes are the same among 600, 800, and 900 series. Mainly the woods are the difference (mahog/rw = 600; maple/eb = 800).

Ok, maybe I'm not using the right terms for the cutaway ("rounded" or "straight"), but anyway, if you compare the pics of the
AR805CE/Uptown with the AR605CE/Jim Fisch model on eastmanguitars' website you'll see what I mean. Your guitar looks exactly like the 605, not the 805. But maybe you have an older model and they have changed the cutaway shape, I don't know. But really it doesn't matter, it's a beautiful guitar anyway!

Nice...
Like to hear the unplugged sound.
Which Eastman has the biggest acoustic sound -- the 805 or the 904?

Can't compare directly as I've sold the 805. My gut says the 904, but I have found the Eastmans to be very individual guitars that need to be judged as unique instruments. -RP
RP, just subscribed to your channel. Beautiful playing, and nice of you to demo all those guitars with your sound! Very, very nice. I hope to get to your sound some day... (*sigh* some day... :-) )
