Also, to make a video in which people who are holding the Bible up are visually connected with burning crosses, etc. is incredibly naive. "Christians" in history have, no doubt, used their "faith" to justify doing some terrible things. But it is very deceitful to give youtube watchers the idea that Christianity as a whole supports people like the KKK. It's propaganda, and it's not correct or fait.

And apex1920, I don't believe homosexuality is a choice either (at least for most). However at least from my point of view, acting out homosexual desires IS a choice, and that's what the Bible teaches too.... not that homosexuals themselves are some sort of special abomination in the eyes of God. Some churches have invented that idea in order to support their homophobia.. but it's NOT what all Christians believe, by FAR.

As a christian I get tired of videos just like this one. The people in that video are a minority of Christians... Loving Christians realize that EVERYONE is a sinner and no sinner is worse than another. That includes homosexuals. The Bible may condemn homosexuality but it never singles out gay people as more "abominable" than everyone else. People should read the Bible before they judge Christianity.

Trust me, homosexuality is not a choice. It's easy to say it is if you've never dealt with it. But it most certainly is not something I chose for myself. I prayed daily (often more) for 8 years and I am still gay. Went through all kinds of therapy too. Still gay.

God allowed these things to happen not for his sake, but for ours. He knows all, but gives us the opportunity to see for ourselves the ability to overcome temptation when we submit our faith to Him. God proves second to none, and that even we can defeat the devil's power with God's omnipotent might. Satan has lost, and has been declared the loser in the great battle. With the LORD's blessing and our faith, the least of us can defeat the prince of darkness.

So, how come I prayed daily for 8 years and I am still gay? Maybe God is saying, "No, you must be gay and attend a christian school so that you can understand the the troubles on both sides of the argument."

Uh, you choose to commit sodomy or not. It's not involuntary that a man gives fellatio, or a woman cunnilingus. Sodomy is sin as much as larceny. It takes guts to first admit sins committed. Nobody said Christianity was a cake walk. It it freaking hard. Satan wants everybody to go to hell with him. Satan tempts everyone. If anyone says they're willing but still don't believe after attempting, then they weren't willing from the start, and clinging to sins as a backwards safety blanket.

It requires instant willingness and obedience to God's will. Keep in mind that God loves the sinner, but hates the sins they commit. It's only through faith, grace, and Christ that you can be saved. We are made whole again through the confession of sins. If you don't admit that a sin is such, you decieve yourself, the truth isn't in you, you're not absolved, and still bear the mark of impurity.
