The Lord knows that life isn't easy, but He is there to help us work through our difficult trials. Through the scriptures, He has given instructions and guidelines for us to follow so that we may grow and learn to be like Him. By following His counsel and doing what's right here, we truly can obtain happiness; for the Lord loves us, and wants each of us to be happy.

New Year has come with its'
bright hope of good things to be...
Old wounds and sins can be
rectified when we adhere
To words of advice spoke
and written down where we may read
Great solutions to all problems
which vex and perplex us here!
Look there inside those old scriptures
sent by God to light up
Paths that are dark, where we'll
stumble and fall or be caught
In snares hidden there placed by
wicked and conniving souls
Who would like to destroy
every hope of accomplishment here...
Look up now for God is there...
He answers prayers; He'll guide and share...
Happiness can be achieved
by just doing what's right here...
God made the earth a most
glorious place for our births
And made Adam steward
and ruler o'er all living things—
We should all follow him and
take heed to those placed in our care...
Be of good cheer for a
happy new year can be made here—
God wants us all to have
prosperous joy without fear
Of being oppressed
or of having to join evil throngs
To survive in this world;
such state only can be if He comes...
Pray he'll come now to His own...
Pray He'll come and take His throne!

Jesus came down here on earth
to show mankind the way
To overcome sin
and the weakness of natural man...
He overcame all
and set a perfect pattern for us
To become, just like Him;
perfect in our own personal sphere.
So don't attempt to cross over
the lines designated;
Peace will prevail when each works
within his legal bounds
And does not give in
to impulses to rob and defraud
For illegal acts cause
waves of sadness and utter despair...
Peace will come when we obey
God's laws given for TODAY
His laws given for ALWAY...
Laws eternal for ALWAYS!
