Since the beginning of the mortgage crisis one and a half million Americans have lost their homes. With banks repossessing their houses, many have been left no other option than to move into their cars.
The streets of California are now filled with people who call their car their home. Jennifer Clement, explains, "The estimated value of our house went to 120,000 U.S. dollars within a month. After losing all the money, we literally landed on the street and were forced to live in our caravan". It is a vicious circle: Without a job - no home. Without an apartment - no job.

People used to live in small homes. They were able to maintain them. One car was the norm not too many years ago. We just want more and more and more... These people are living the lives that our grandparents did at the start of their adult lives. But I can't help but think part of this is from our own greed and our waste. Some people do live this life by choice, but not people with children. A car is not an apartment or hotel.

Hee Hee...Personally, I live in a van for fun and do just fine without the material surplus that has been wrongfully and unequally distributed to this country. Unlike the guy in the movie, where I live there are girls that take interest in the fact that I live so differently. In fact I attribute much of my happiness to the fact that I live simply. Go buy a van!
I live in a 24' Camper and love it. The camper is parked in a grove of ceder trees on a 5 acre lot my bills, electric and internet, runs me $60 a month water comes (by way of a garden hose) from my neighbors water well also I've Quit driving and bicycle wherever I need to go. Screw the rat race material wealth is over estimated. I too lived in a van for many years with no problem in fact my plans are to put a conversion on my truck and live in it.

They are doing the same here. I hope the new administration catches them and jails them but i doubt it. It is definitely insider trading.
WOW! I'm speechless... I didn't know how bad the economy have been affecting this country. The government should develop programs to accommodate people in companies, relocate people and make their rent affordable. WOW! Where is the American Dream? Can we still dream? Good video!
