i've been trying to find the proper way to play a melodica - or sheet music or ANYTHING - any advice or input would be greatly appreciated

So long as you're using the proper orifice I'm pretty sure it's not too hard to screw up. I'm sure you noticed it has a similar setup to a piano or keyboard. Ironically, pianos or keyboards are also largely hard to screw up so long as you're using the proper appendages.

lol. They use this instrument in the song Champagne Supernova by Oasis. It's an awesome song and the melodica makes it sound awesome. Btw, you play great...lol!!

I can play Hava Nagila a lot better on clarinet, the instrument this particular song is traditionally associated with (don't get me wrong though, melodica is a cool instrument)
